Junk Removal Project

Brief

The idea for this Uber model junk removal process spawned from the owners need to provide a better pick up service for his mattress removal company. The mattress removal company heavily relied on a third party company to pick up the customer's mattresses which was the root of the problem. The third party company was unreliable and rude to customers because it wasn't important to them. The owner figured that if he could easily hire and manage his own drivers then his business could scale to his expectations.

My Role

As the sole UX Designer,  I was tasked with creating the customer ordering, driver sign up, a driver mobile application and an administrative platform.

About

The primary focus of this project was to confirm the flow and functionality. The branding was to be determined at a later phase. While I worked on multiple pieces of this puzzle my main focus was on the mobile application. The functionality of the mobile app includes: selecting helpers to assist on a job, accepting a new job, completing a job with additional items, notice of a delay, map view, user profile, notifications, support, disposal locations and earnings summary.
